Yet another gas question.

A big problem with Calor is that they no longer do the Calorlite bottle and the metal bottle eats into your already meagre payload. Then there is the rip off cost of exchanging the bottle. We don't use a lot of gas, but over the past 5 years the Safefill bottle has paid for itself in more than one way. Their biggest market is Holland!

well, that’s a problem with the ridiculous ’meagre’ payloads of U.K. caravans, not Calor.
happy to carry a pair of 11kg gas cylinders in mine, but my 300kg payload doesn’t get eaten into by a gas bottle it’s included in the basic weight unlike everything possible even the water is extra UK caravans.

Our caravan includes up to 20kg for gas bottles in the MIRO so if the bottles weigh less than 20kg in weight when full it gives us extra onto our payload. In our case just over 8kg.

if I don’t fill up the water tank, I‘d gain 50kg, of payload, but her indoors would never tolerate that.

You do well to install a 6kg propane within a total full weight of 11kg. Calor quote a tare ( empty) weight of 7.3-10.9 kg. Or do you use some alternative gas?

11kg German LPG cylinder is 22kg filled.

Small Hymer 390 I think. I looked at one but bought a Trigano 420 DD instead.

yes, Hymer 390, basic payload is 300kg, but you can plate them up to 450kg.

now as for gas, we need these badgers
