    orkney.......

We went to Orkney in 2005, booked through Carefree in c and cc. No problems at all with bookings. Travelled on ferry from Scrabster to Stromness (very nice modern ship). We also stayed at The Pickaquoy site in Kirkwall, which is near to the Town, but far enough away to be quiet. Unfortunately...

    Which porch awning ?

We invested in an Isabella Minor, which is exactly what you pay for - excellent! Our friends have the Isabella Magnum, and they find that excellent also. They are, admittedly, a bit pricey, but you would not be disappointed. Quality comes at a price.

    Buccaneer Caribbean

Anyone any experience of this van at all please, or just Buccaneer in general? Your comments would be appreciated, good or bad. I know they are heavy but thats not a problem. Thanks a lot.

Caravan Club vouchers - use by 31 December 2006

The law of the land also states it is an offence to exceed 30mph in a built-up area, but it's only a few who bother.

    Sites in Burgundy

Cahteau de L'Eperviere is a good site. It is one of the Castels chain, so good facilities and well-kept. Not far south of Chalons -sur- Saone, so handy for Autoroute and numerous excellent Wine Domaines and Co-operatives. You can book direct or through Carefree with the c and cc.

    Dogs on Sites ?

We stayed on The Pickaquoy Centre site in Kirkwall, Orkney in August 2005. Unfortunatelt for us, it was hosting a Sheepdog Show that very week (good timing eh?). So, all the owners were devoted doggy people, but unfortunately for everyone else on the site, we had to endure endless barking and...

    Black runs

Try something called 'Stardrops'. It costs about 89p from Sainsburys, though I am sure Hardware shops will stock it also. It is very good, doesnt dull the paint and gets rid of the black streaks. Compared to the specialist products, it is also exceptional value for money!

    Quick Wit

On the contrary, I believe the Officer (or Plod as you call them) would have been totally aware of the 'wit' displayed. Hence the Ticket! Perhaps next time, they keep to the limits and not attract anyones attention, then they wouldnt need to be quick witted.

    camping le paille basse

We are just back from a 3 week French trip, which included 16 nights at this site. I wasnt overly impressed by the place personally, like you say it is miles from anywhere, you have to be at the pool early if you want a chair (we couldnt be bothered!) and we both thought the site restaurant was...

    Why is it....

... that some people just can't help themselves by having to put in comments like: "I'll be travelling down to ...... with my 5.8 litre 2006 Bentley, towing a 6 berth, twin-axle 2006 ......GLS caravan (worth £xxx,000) . and was wondering if anyone could help me?" What one earth have the exact...

I have a Reich mover on my Bailey, and have had it on since new (4 years). It has never caught a speed bump yet. Would recommend it totally.

    caravan canopy/awning

We were at Les ranchisses 3 years ago. It is a really good site, with what I still believe is the best Site Restaurant in any we have eaten in. It is fairly sheltered, but be prepared for some spectacular thunderstorms in August, we were stranded in the Club one night!! For that reason alone...
