If you are a member of either the Caravan Club or Camping & Caravanning Club you should be able to locate what you need site-wise. The Caravan Club sites have excellent facilities of a high standard. There are several in the Cotswold area which might suit your needs, although very few have swimming pools, bars, restaurants, etc., located on site but these can usually be found nearby.

If you are a member of the camping and caravanning club then you could stay at a site called Clent Hills, which is situated just off the M5 a couple of miles outside Halesowen, Birmingham. We live in Lancashire and have recently been to Cornwall and used this site as a stop off on the way back up the M5. It broke the journey up nicely. The site was clean, good shower and toilet block. Hardstanding and grass pitches available. We were on hardstanding and this is definately a site we will be using again if heading down to cornwall or devon.

If you want to go a little bit further 2 good sites are Oxen Hall shrewsbury (park & ride next to site) & Stanmore Hall at Bridgenorth they are both run by Morris Leisure and i would highly recommend them.

You can search the sites of either the CC or the C&C Clubs on their websites, broken down into regions or county searches, this would perhaps fulfil your need for somewhere 'central'. The standards on site from either club are high so you know you'll be decently spaced and with excellent wash-blocks. Good luck
