Advise your daughter to furnish the home with stuff that can easily be moved to another one, if the LL fir any reason decides not to extend the tenancy, or increases the rent beyond a reasonable level. Our grandson learnt this lesson one tenancy back. He’s currently coming to the end of a two year tenancy that ends in November. The LL hasn’t yet decided on a future rent, or even if she plans to even let the property out again. So already we are all making plans to help store his stuff at our house, his mums and uncles in Wales. He and his partner would then move in with his Mum.
