.....price of diesel now rising slightly here in Mid Sussex.
Main stream branded filling stations 178.9/litre up from 174.9/litre.
Just filled up at Sainsburys Shoreham by Sea for 175.9/litre.
Luckily our Ford 1.4 diesel returns 56mpg average....obviously not used for towing!

.....currently buying diesel at £1.45/litre here in France.
The French government has just reduced the tax to ease their cost of living.
Incidentally currently staying on a lovely site with swimming pool, free WiFi and small shop / cafe.......just £13.30/ night!!

Its nice to know you can still access good value for money sites even if they are across the channel. Have a great and relaxing holiday!

Wonderful Bill👏A special site for a Woosiefest maybe 😎😎

One big change noticed is that the supermarkets are no longer always cheap, our local Saunsburys is £183.9 and a nearby Jet is 182.9, and its been like that ever since the first fuel shortages.

In the end I guess they can charge what they like, its up to the users to vote with their feet.

Agree I’ve noticed the same around where we live. Independents cheaper by a substantial amount. I run down to 50% normally then top up as I pass somewhere I think is reason able. Off to The Principality today for a few days so see what their prices are.

True, I noticed yesterday that a Shell station I passed was 1p cheaper than both Tesco and Morrisons and the Esso one was the same price. Diesel though was far dearer than petrol by as much as 16p.

Last week going into town the independent service station has diesel at £1.82. Today it is £1.90 a litre. Local Esso is £1.85.

Last week after dropping off the caravan in Somerset I filled up for the return journey. Cost was £1.80, but in West Midlands it was £1.85.

OPEC have cut back on production so are once again holding the world to ransom plus buttering up to Putin.

I paid £179.9 at Morrisons in Norwich today, less 5p a litre using a voucher we got last week for spending more than £40 in store.
It still hurt - for the first time ever i paid in total over £100 for the fill up ! :fearful:

Never got over the £100 mark although I did get to £96 once. Your consolation though sounds to be you probably got more 5p savings than anyone else.

Filling up 10 days ago at £1.799 it cost me close to £123 and the tank was over quarter full! :disrelieved:

Another unscheduled visit to Coventry today but filled up in Stow at 161.9 petrol. Normally Stow and Moreton are more expensive than at home where it’s 169.9. That’s two Cotswolds fills in two weeks.

Very sadly the Saudi’s and OPEC have decided to reduce production by 2 million barrels per day. It was hoped an increase would be made . Allegedly some OPEC members are good friends of Putin🤮.
Expect another massive hike in all fuel costs very soon.
