In our very competitive area we can get it down to £169.9, or it was yesterday. You never know what the prices for fuel will be tomorrow as they change that quickly.

At a garage not too far from us the difference between cost of unleaded and diesel is nearly £0.30 so a massive difference!

It’s been like that at our local Sainsbury’s at least since last Sunday 29 pence per litre difference. With talk about a EU stoppage of Russian oil from next week, a price cap and possible no insurance of ships carrying Russian oil it may get worse. 🙁

Yes, 29p per litre price difference over petrol at our local Tesco. I have just returned from Spain and the difference there is between 7 and 10 cents per litre. Petrol is around £1.30 - £1.50 per litre. I think we are being taken for mugs by the fuel companies, it's no wonder the prices in the shops are going up fast

We are being given all sorts of reasons why fuel is so expensive. And why almost every item in the supermarkets costs more. Now prices don't jump by a few pence but in great leaps of 10%. Even 25% on some lines. One would imagine that the retailers are feeling the hurt as much as the customers, but you may have missed Tesco's AGM when the Chairman announced the end of year figures. Adjusted profits up by 58% on last year with shareholders' dividends increased by 19%. And don't think that was a one-off. The year before showed a 50% increase in net profit as well.

Just been shopping on way back past Jet petrol station
Diesel 181.9 litre
Petrol 165.9
Yes 16p per litre price difference petrol over diesel

We have received the regular e mail from Petrol Prices that several places in our area are now down below £1.50 a liter for petrol although it does not show diesel prices.

146.9 per litre petrol at Sainsbury’s Melksham. 5 pence per litre more expensive at Sainsbury’s Chippenham which is only 7 miles away. Pity I’ve just filled up with BP petrol at 154.9

According to Petrol Prices the cheapest around here is Sainsburys at £148.9. I cannot see how they can justify the price difference but assume that it is based on the level of competition in any given area.

Not in North Lincolnshire it still dearer where we live so far only seen petrol at 165.9 but how much is diesel down your way .

Today Inverness Tesco's deisel at 175.9. Surprisingly the usually expensive Esso and Jet stations just outside the city were 169.9 Regrettably only discovered this after filling up at Tesco's.

Finding the best price is a nightmare but Petrol Prices web site does help.

My wife has filled up at Sainsbury’s Chippenham which is now 10 pence per litre more expensive than Sainsbury at nearby Melksham. I wonder if the reason could be location. Chippenham is on a major junction A4/A350 fir through traffic whereas Melksham Sainsbury is a similar size but located in the town out of the way. Either way they are having a larf.
