Going Green isn’t easy

We have a Miele heat pump tumble drier and it probably has to be the most useless item we have purchased. It has been running since about 9.00am and it is now 10.49am and the washing in it is still damp. Granted it does not use much electric, but what is the point if it doesn't dry the laundry?

Our previous normal tumble drier which we gave to our daughter when they came over would have dried the laundry long ago. IMHO heat pumps have to be the biggest con on mankind! Seriously thinking of swapping machines back again, but doubt if they would want to swap.

Our 25 year old Zanussi auto reverse tumble drier drys everything from between 60/90 minutes depending on the load and material type. It vents to the exterior and doesn’t use a significant amount of power.
I wonder how easy it is to repair your Miele?

We were considering a heat pump tumble dryer when we refurbish the kitchen next year, we currently have a Bosch condenser dryer which is use very other day for the past 8 years, thanks for the heads up.

We use a dehumidifier in the bathroom, very effective and economical plus I get a good supply of demin water for my screen washers. Tumble drier in garage only goes on for a few items such as towels when either they won't dry on the line, or bathroom clothes horse is full. And then my wife tries to time it when we have reduced rate electric.
