Pump not pulling water into van!

When we left our van, (compass rallye 650) which is on a seasonal pitch, last week everything was working perfectly. Today the pump isn't drawing water into the van. We've tried 2 other caravanners pumps but still nothing. Also when we decided to start from the beginning to see if that worked we noticed there was no water in the water heater tank. There should have been some left in from last week. We can hear the pump working, but it doesn't seem to sound quite like it should. We tried phoning a couple of repairers but it's Bank Holiday and they're all busy!

We can use the site showers etc and have filled a water container to keep in the van so we're not stuck.

Anybody got any ideas what could be wrong. All answers/suggestions gratefully received!!

When the pump is trying to work have a look under the van & see if there is any water coming out from any where, are all of the drain valves closed properly ?

Is your pump a submersible pump ? or a on board type pump ?

Thanks for your reply. There's nothing dripping or running under the van. All drain taps checked! The pump which goes into the aquaroll is (I presume) submersible?? Not up on anything technical. Then there is the pump in the caravan, which is the one we can hear working but it isn't doing anything. There is no water coming into the van at all.

Thanks for your interest. We're using the electric hook up, (always do it's in with the price!) the battery is fully charged, don't know the voltage. Battery is fairly new.

Where your pipe connects to the van from the aqua roll are there any 'O' rings fitted, if so are they ok if they are damaged, they will need replacing, what is on the end of the pipe that goes into your aqua roll is it a filter ??

It sounds like it's drawing air rather than water & you have a possible leak for the hot water tank to have drained, you will have to have a look & see if you can see any water by any of the joints in the system....

Has there been a frost over the last week by any chance... ?

We've tried 2 pumps in the aquaroll from neighbouring caravans (which are working) and still no water getting into the van. We also put a new filter on our pump. So we don't think it's the "outside" pump that is faulty.

No frosts by the way!

LOOKS LIKE A WHALE SMARTFLO WITH A WHALE SURGE DAMPER BY IT'S SIDE - UNDER THE SEAT IN THE CARAVAN, THE BIT THAT GOES INTO THE AQUAROLL IS ALSO WHALE .

No wi fi yesterday!
Water problem solved now. It was the actual on board pump. A big thank you to our lovely caravan neighbour Mally. He checked everything out for us, tried the pump in his van, it didn't work in there either. He then stripped it down, cleaned it all up, put it back - voila - everything's working again!! The pump must have been going for a while and then decided it wouldn't start up again. Anyway alls well that ends well, especially on a bank holiday weekend!
We're going to get another pump to be ion the safe side!
Thank you for trying to help, much appreciated!
Just need the rain to stop now. Sun cream one day, wellies the next, that's caravanning!

Just a bit of information for the future.
Your van only has the on board pump, there is not one in the aquaroll as well, the white cylinder on the end of the pipe going into the aquaroll is just a filter which should be changed every 30 days.
