I have been booked in here since thursday 19th and not due to leave till this thursday but im home already having only spent one night at this hell hole. It is a mud hole with all the rain, the park has squeezed as many as they can on the site. Toilets and dish washing facilities are disgusting and constantly filthy. The shop never has any bread or milk. There is travellers on the site who are mingers. Dog s..t everywhere. Just a hell hole. Saturday night was fight night in the club house and on sunday morning police came and escorted about 6 vans off the site. Horrible Horrible place!

4 Years ago, we had a similar experience with another site owed by this holiday chain in Northumberland. Only stayed one night, was too scared to stay any longer and demanded refund for rest of holiday which was given without argument. Think the receptionist herself was totally embarrassed by the touring facilities on this large site.

The static caravans areas were wonderfully kept though but the litter pickers studiosly avoided the touring area. Probably too scared to enter it.

The cheeky herbs are still sending me advertising flyers asking if I would like to buy a static on their site. Would I heck as like!

We spent one night there a couple of summers ago, as our daughter lived nearby. The CC site in Whitley Bay was full. As far as I can remember it is a mostly static van site with a bit at the back for tourers. The toilets were in a portacabin, and as mentioned were certainly not the best. In fact the most important part of the site appeared to be the social club which was doing a roaring trade when we arrived at 11 am.

Ironically since then, i have received a number of letters asking me if I wish to return, and I suspect looking for me to take on a static van, but I will be disappointing them.

No it is not a site if you are looking for a happy relaxing stay up to CC and C&CC standards.
