Snapped cord

Our Swift Accord 2021 panoramic blind has snapped. It’s going to cost £400 + to sort it out as we’ve been told that the whole unit has to be replaced.
I saw a thread from 2012 where “ bristle” used a cork jammed into the channel to keep the blind up. Will the cork keep the blind closed at night too?
Any other remedies as very reluctant to pay over £400 to fix a snapped cord!

If the cork “fix” worked in daytime it should be okay at night. It must be worth just giving it a try.

I repaired a Remibase side window blind, and it's not difficult if you can remove the blind unit. Here's the link I posted

We simply fixed ours and not need for a new blind. Any AWS technician would be able to do the job at a fraction of the price quoted by the dealer if you are unable to do it yourselves.
