But surely you will have the wheel lock on when you are on site, so will not need the blanks.

Not if you are familiar with Al-Ko, IME that's their modus operandi, eyewatering genuine spare pricing though also good kit.

A bit of duct tape over the end of the lock would work.

Yes, I am sure if I ever needed to use other than the plugs and caps I have, I would find a solution, Duct tape quite probably as its one of the few items I carry for these emergency work round jobs.
