Metal dust caps on cars with valve-mounted TPMS sensors can get corroded in place because the two metals are different - it's electrolytic corrosion - got the T-shirt!

Not if you are familiar with Al-Ko, IME that's their modus operandi, eyewatering genuine spare pricing though also good kit.

A bit of duct tape over the end of the lock would work.

Yes, I am sure if I ever needed to use other than the plugs and caps I have, I would find a solution. Duct tape quite probably as its one of the few items I carry for these emergency work round jobs.

Duct tape, emergency rescue tape, tie wraps, Stanley knife, WD40 and torch will sort most things out.

Without the wheel lock on in storage, does that meet your insurer's requirements?

Seems to me that the wheel lock is more important in storage than when pitched on site.

Some storage sites don’t want you to fit wheelocks. Not for me though.

Does your site require you to have the van moved to storage each winter? Our site does have a separate storage area, but the seasonal vans can all stay on their pitches. But as mentioned before. Our site does not have the higher security rating.

I guess that it is part of the storage site terms for fire safety, and will be protected by their insurance. It might be that the storage insurance then covers the user.

But it is certainly a question that needs an answer.

That seems counter-intuitive from a security point of view. My own CC insurance would remove the discount for wheel locks if I did that - other insurers might refuse to insure without wheel locks.
