Water pump not functioning

Hi All, I am in need of some help if possible. I have an Elddis Avante 540, 2015 touring van which I love. To date , only minor issues. However, after draining the system down for a frosty period and returning for a weekend break my Whale IC pump would not function. Fine, it was the IC circuit board that packed in. I replaced that and turned the water on as per the proceedings etc and it run for about 1 minute and stopped.

Nothing got it working again. I replaced the pressure pump ie the attachment I fit my external pump to at the side of my van. Still nothing. I thought it may be the external pump. However, I have two and none of them work. Checked all the fuses I could find. Run a power check with a multimeter. Power all good. I’m stumped. Anyone have suggestions. What might I have missed? Is there an inline fuse I am missing?

When you say 'run a power check' where and how , at the pins on the pump inlet or inside.? The pump/IC unit has to be calibrated to run correctly , if the pump doesn't take a high enough current ( as the pressure increases the pump current rises) and if it doesn't reach a certain value after a certain time it assumes a leak and switches off the pump. A lot of people have had trouble setting it up and some have thrown it away and fitted a simple inline pressure switch. When measuring the voltages, if you have power to the left hand two connectors on the IC unit ( negative LT and positive central) then the caravans wiring is OK . The IC unit may have detected a 'water leak' .Do you have the Whale ES8000 set up instructions in pdf format?

Hi Ian, thanks for getting back to me so promptly. I checked the +/— terminals on the IC unit and the voltage registered 13v. I have set it up with the correct calibration procedure as per the instructions. I can’t find a leak in any of the water pipes. I have noticed however the pump is registering as ‘on’ at the control panel (red bar). I wonder if I have an air lock somewhere.
