Used to be called Aunt Jemimas pancake and waffle mix. Now Pearl Milling Company.
Did you ever get to Fulton's Sugar Bush at Pakenham, just outside Ottawa. Most amazing thick pancakes with jugs of Maple Syrup on each table. You could also see the Maple trees being tapped.

No never went there but did visit a maple syrup farm in Quebec. In Ottawa I used a place called Le Cafe which was next to the National Arts Center complex but was alongside the Rideau Canal. It was quite close to DND HQ at 101 Colonel By. I had use of a Cheverton and some evenings we would bring it down from Dows Lake to Le Cafe for some eats and drinks. Nice thing about Ottawa we’re the number of eateries in the city center.

Best eaten, for Breakfast, worked many year in India, Chickpeas and Coiled Paratha for breakfast most days.
Didn't they normally eat brains on toast for breakfast? When I was working in Durban which has the biggest Indian population outside India, we had a young Indian lad that brought in sandwiches for his lunch. His mom made the sandwiches and he used to offer them around.

We had a little Scots technician that used to ask first thing for a sandwich. One day he got this sandwich that had something curried on it. He ate most of it with relish and asked what it was as none of us wanted a sandwich. We told him it was curried sheep brains. He went white, then green and charged off to the loo. Strangely he never asked for a sandwich again. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

So what about Christmas Viewing. As you may be aware we have no live TV so we'll probably go through all the old Christmas Dvds... National Lampoons, Arthur Christmas and more

I didn't think anyone watched TV on Christmas Day as it is either Zulu or the Great Escape? LOL!

However we have Christmas lunch with family, a beverage or two with them, go home and have a sleep.

Zulu! My father’s favourite film! After that, the Spaghetti Westerns.
Used to be a must watch at Christmas.
My favourite is Muppet Christmas Carol. Now a family tradition.

That battle took place about 100 miles north of where we lived obviously not when we lived there. LOL! To this day you can still find remnants of the battle. I think Cardiff castle was a museum dedicated to the battle?

I regularly worked in Germany for a number of years. The traditional New Year viewing was Dinner for One, made in 1963 and staring Freddie Frinton - it's in English. My German colleagues thought this hilarious. So one year I watched it..... well I just couldn't understand why it was such a big hit over there. That wasted a number of minutes I'll never get back.

Then again I have friends who rave over It's a Wonderful Life...... Did nothing for me.
