The Ranch----------1
Poston Mill----------1
Dont Mind-----------0

The ranch is 149 miles and Poston is 145 miles from me, weird
In the event of a tie King DD will cast the deciding vote
5.gif

On the subject of King DD, I would like to propose he keeps his royalty crown until our meet in October
My reason of thinking;
It would be a shame not to use his banner for a second time, come on King DD you have to agree, we could always vote at the meet for your successor.
And;
This thread was not started until Sir Wc posted first in Dec of last year, the Woosie club was only formed just prior to this date which means you have not held the crown for a full year.

What do you think folks?????

For me the Ranch is 41.5mls and Poston Mill 64.2 mls..
Don't forget Kev, Sproket is travelling pretty well East to West whilst you go South to North hence the disparity.
IMO both sites have a lot going for them so I suggest we go for the one closest to Sir Sproket CJ ( Bar) who at the moment has the furthest to travel . So I guess I'm voting for The Ranch.
Ok I also agree the Crown gets transferred at the October meet.

How's everyone else on choice?
I think our lightpole man fancies The Ranch.
Maybe we could even extend an invitation to PC Stacie or Clare who could bring along one of their new caravans for a test. And more stickers

I originally chose Poston Mill because it was the closest to me (41 miles) where the Ranch was 78 miles, but hey, both are significantly closer than Sir Sproket CJ ( Bar) has to travel. I will therefore embrace the unity of fellow Woosies of the Round Table and change my vote to the Ranch.

Sorry!
Won't be able to make it. Without cancelling other commitments, ie , 8th.- 15th, Lake District rally, (Woosies 19,20,21) Got to be back in Derbyshire for 21st. half term and child care duties.
Sorry - other dates would have suited, completely uncommitted all of September. (As yet?)

Choice would have been Ranch (150miles, other 200 miles)

Oh dear Sir Gagakev WC ( Bar)

And you thought you had damp in the Fleetwood
smiley-laughing.gif
Hope it dries up for you.

The Ranch is without question the winner so I suggest when you get back from your swimming hol you go ahaead and book.
Upon your instructions we can then individually book our pitches making sure all The Woosies are together.
Date wise I know a lot of us couldn't make September , me included so we opted for October.
If it helps I can do any weekend in october at the moment.
Let us all know what gets decided.

As i`m in favour of fairness it`s the ranch for us can make any weekend in oct bar the last. It`s going to be difficult for everyone to make the same weekend so i propose that who cant make it this time chooses dates and venues for further meets just an idea.

Hi All Woosies
As you can guess i am back.
I'm up for the meet and will go with the majority on location, just a warning there is a bird santury at one end of the site and i can assure you that if you are pitched withing 50 yards of it you will get no sleep at all, the noise was horendouse and went on 24/7 when we stayed there 3 years ago. The site are well aware of this but do not tell you about it. If we go there then we must make it clear we don't want to be anywhere near that end of the site.
The site itself is quite nice with grass, level pitches, nice bar if you can get in as its allways full of bingo players from the statics on site.
I think the other site would be better but as i have said i will go with the majority.

Sir Mucky Pup TB is this where the edge of the bird sanctuary is ?
( just beyond the hedge row ) of the small oval fields ?
It looks like it's the domestic fowl trust ...&.... http://goo.gl/maps/9X4k

Wow - I'm so proud and priviledged to be counted among your worthy number, especially on this Jubille weekend - thankyou. I think Dame crazyguider of the Campfire would suffice.
I would like to secong Martin24 as a fellow Woosie.
I hope you all enjoy the Jubiolee weekend, wherever you may be.

Unfortunately we're not where we were supposed to be, we'd planned a long weekend away in the caravan but becuse my number 3 son's girlfriend had a nasty fall requiring hospital treatment on Friday he can't look after our cat and do the house sitting duties.
I hope that everyone has a good Bank Holiday.

As for the Woosie meet, we're happy to go anywhere and are honoured to be asked.
I can see the logic in choosing The Ranch because of the distances involved but Poston Mill as a site would take some beating if The Ranch proves unsuitable.
The only sites around the Midlands to rival Poston Mill that I know of are those run by Morris Leisure but they are expensive and dog charges apply.
I believe that holders of CC or C&CC cards are given a discount on production of the card but I don't know how much this is.

Why eye man I'm on a dongle nicked it off the daughter ha ha
Had a swim around my pitch earlier, but drying up now.
King DD passed your fav site, we are about 4 miles further up the road
See there could be a problem with the ranch, so as Sir Mucky pup has suggested keep looking folks and I will pop back when I can

By the way Welcome Dame Crazyguider

Welcome to The Woosie Round Table Dame Crazyguider.
You do of course feature in the Woosie Photos and I am very pleased we had the chance to meet you at Stowfolot

.
Don't forget to add your new title to your signature.

Sir Gagakev,
Are you down Mevagissey way? On that site that has its own beach etc?
I was talking to Sir Muckypup TB again this morning and on balance think we shall have to scrap the Ranch. I'll e-mail you privately why.
At the moment I can find nothing better than Poston Mill. I've been there before as previously stated and can confirm it is an excellent place all round.
I'm mindful it's too far for Sir Sproket CJ (Bar) but maybe we'll just have to bite the bullet as Poston Mill is ok for everyone else.
What we can do is plan another Woosie meet further north for say the early spring, somewhere nearer to Sir Sproket. Any suggestions ?
We've decorated our street and wil be closing it off later this afternoon. It's a cul de sac so only us lot use it . There are numerous buntings and 10 union Jack flags all flying high with the windsocks etc. The down side is the torrential rain we had last night and more expected later today. Never mind , it wont stop us having fun.

We are with drawing The Ranch from the options list so if you know of another site very close to it please let us know.

Sir Sproket CJ (Bar) here's a thought for you could you extend your stay and make a week of it to justify your travel? Just thinking out loud.

Sir Gagakev WC (Bar) thanks for that thought.
