UPDATE

Riverside Park site only has three EHU left for the weekend of 19/20/21 Oct so not an option.

Stratford Holiday site will accomodate but have a look here for the prices.

Example; 2 adults, + doggy + Awning, with EHU = £74.50
smiley-cry.gif

No discounts availible for 10+ vans as they say they will be fully booked anyway
They have a rally feild but as we are not a registered club we dont qualify for pitches in that section.

So folks dont know what your thoughts are (no doubt you will tell us... ha ha)
Suggest we all keep looking for alternatives in the suggested area's.
Stratford did say if we are interested then an early booking would be advisable.
I will go with the flow.

I was going to suggest The Ranch yesterday but I was worried that you might think the pitch prices a bit steep.
It's got a good reputation amongst midlands caravanners and there are no hidden extra charges in low season.

What do you think of this one. Seems to tick all the boxes and is still geographically convenient for most?

Maybe you can have a word with them.

Hi Kopite, Brendan Rodgers, I bet that you never saw that coming!
To put a website (or any other url link) onto the forum first find and copy the url from the toolbar at the top of the website that you want to show.
Do this by holding down the left click of your mouse and moving the mouse along the url text until it is highlighted in blue.
Release the left click (the blue highlight will still be there) and right click and from the dialogue box that will appear choose 'Copy'
The url is now 'loaded' onto your mouse.
Go to this forum in the usual way, open a comment box and write down what you want the link to read, such as 'Click Here' for instance.
When you have written your link hold down the left click and highlight your text that you want to turn into a url link, just as you copied the url but no left click this time.
After you have highlighted your text look along the top of the comment box for a linked chain.
Hover your mouse over the linked chain symbol, it will become shaded so left click on it and a dialogue box will appear.
Right Click in the 'Link URL' oblong, beneath that left click on the arrow at the end of the 'Target' box and from the drop down
left click 'Open Link in New Window.
Left click 'Insert' and where you had previously written Click Here will become a url- Click Here
Any problems, give me a shout but do it tomorrow cos I'm off out

Flippin 'eck, I am busy for a few evenings and 50 posts appear in this thread, We are in the east midlands so no-where (except Kent) is far away: all the sites suggested look great, we have next to no social life, so practically any weekend is fine.
Just let us know where when and how (to book) and we'll sign up!

I think the "overweight campers" thread on the old version of the forum, that went on about the Smokaloo (LB, plotter and Colin Bridgend will remember) went on for a lot longer.
Keep typing Woosies!

OK folks spoke to both the above today they were both very nice and very helpful, which means you have a choice!!

The Ranch may offer a discount but wont promise as the dates are heading towards half term. The bar may or may be not open but there is a local pub 2 minutes away
Poston Mill will be open (next door I belive) and they have also offered us a "social room" if we so wish to use it
Please can you decide which would be best for you and we will go with the majority vote.
Booking details to be finalised but briefly after the first booking by say myself they would hold 12 pitches for 48 hours to give you all time to enable to pitch altogether, a deposit of £30.00 (£10.00 per night per pitch) would be required.
This will need to be done pretty soon as have said, worried about half term, if you could all give a definate answer by say next Wednesday (06/06/12) it would be appreciated,
I will break all the rules and take my laptop away with me(wait till you see OH's face) and see if there is wifi somewhere to keep up to speed.
Will pop back later after we have loaded the van.

Thanks for the wishes King DD, by the way I have booked the RAIN!!!!
