We're off to have a look round Scarborough today, and will try the food in the Black Bull later. There are notices around the campsite threatening dire consequences for those who misbehave Sir WC so it looks like an early return from the pub for us

Well I hope all Woosies attending the fest have a lovely time. I have only yesterday managed to arrange things to actually join you for a few days following on from Woodland Campers invite quite a while ago.
However on making an enquiry of the site about thirty minutes ago my wife was informed that the site including the area allocated to the Woosie Fest members was in fact fully booked. :(
So again have a great time and perhaps next year I will be able to join you. Provided of course I manage to have sufficient self inflicted catastrophes to maintain my membership. With my track record that shouldn't be a problem.
Best wishes to all.
Looks like a few days fishing in Lincolnshire now. Hope I can find a Carvery as good as the one at the Black Bull :)

We've got the thunderstorm and heavy rain. Guess who left the kitchen roof light open (and it wasn't me). :( We went out in hot fine weather (5pm) to see a great niece who was born this morning and got back 8:30 pm. Most traffic was driving about 20 mph as the roads were awash.

Just about to check tomorrow's weather.

There was a brief shower here while we were in the Black Bull and it's a warm night.
Do Woosies know that there's music at the BB on Saturday evening?
According to a poster near to the entrance door a singer is on at 7:30

Just a bit of info for any Woosies who are visiting Whitby on Friday. A friend recommended an alternative to the traditional fish and chip lunch.
I told him I was probably visiting Whitby and he suggested trying the:-
(Humble Pie N Mash Shop)
He says he had a really nice meal there a while ago.
It is located just over the Bridge on Bridge street then first right down Grape Lane and left at the bottom. Just there on the left.
Well I've never been but had I been at the fest I would have probably mentioned it in conversation.
Now if anyone goes and it isn't all my friend says then I do apologise.
I hope everyone has a great nostalgic trip on the Train.
Best wishes Brian

That's a shame Brian.

Meanwhile the Woosies are getting tanned and preparing for the grand Woosiefest on ???????? King Sproket has to.declare the day and time.

Thank you for that Dusty.
It only worked out the other day that I would be able to attend the Fest from Thursday until Tuesday but of course trying to book what appears to be an extremely popular site with that kind of notice was expecting too much. However I've got a fully loaded caravan following my optimistic anticipation even the tyres pressure adjusted to the fully loaded position on the car so I'm going to find a CL Or CS around Woodall Spa and load the fishing gear into the car.
I hope yourself and the Attending Woosies have a great time.

Well fellow woosies as the fest is drawing to a conclusion for another year and some of you are off tomorrow, I would just like to thank everyone for a wonderful time. The kings coronation, then the meal in the black bull and Dusty's famous quiz this afternoon , it has been perfect, especially as you all now know I'm not as thick as I look B)
Piccys to follow when I finally arrive home on Saturday, cheers all.
PS, the king would not give me any inside info tonight having spent the evening having a meal with him :(

To all the woosies and Parksy, a huge thank you for one of the best weekends we've ever had in the caravan. You're a fantastic bunch of chaps and chapesses. Makes me proud to be a woosie and have such great friends. Jenny's had a fab time too.

Now that I'm home alone I have time to ponder in peace, this is just what I've been doing. :woohoo: We've been around a while now, should PC be giving us our own column inches each month to share our tales and stories from around the kingdom?
