......for those going to Wallingford the best route to the site is via Crowmarsh Gifford via the roundabout on the A4074.

Follow The Street through Crowmarsh Gifford towards Wallingford and approach the traffic light controlled single track bridge over the river Thames.
There maybe traffic queuing at these lights but do not cross the bridge.
The entrance to the site is on the left directly at the yellow box markings on the road just before the lights.

This is a nice riverside pub just over the bridge in Wallingford.....a short walk

and the................

Riverside cafe with a very good reputation and river Thames garden setting in nearby Benson ..........2 miles from campsite.

Hope we get good weather and looking forward to it :) :)

:( :( :( sad and miserable Sir Outnumbered :( :( :(

Should have taken the van to Boynton for the week on Saturday. Woke up with rather a lot of pain, initial investigations show it could be my hiatus hernia playing up. Came out of hospital last night into the care of nurse Jenny armed with a bottle of morphine. Seeing specialist Thursday.

No comment on the hospital, especially the night staff.

Night staff? You found some
Make a swift recovery Martin. You're in good hands with nurse Jenny. We need you both well for the Woosiefest. :)

Yes, get well soon Martin.

Today's the day - I've brought the van home from storage to give it its spring clean. Not too dirty other than the stripes on the rear. :(
Looking forward to the spring Woosiefest. :cheer:

Next thing is to sort out when it's going for its annual service. It will celebrate its 5th birthday early July.

Just reading your comments WC, thought that's 1/4 of year gone! - and not been out. - Not our most 'prolific' time but had 16 nights away 2017, also van serviced. Don't usually do BHs but away for this Easter, on a CC rally where we used to marshal ourselves a rally a few years back, so we thought we'd have a look again. Non facilities - apart from hookup. -- Here --- Kantankye scout Campsite, Thorpe St Peter, Skegness PE24 4PL, UK - just hope this weather holds? ( and as others are saying Martin hope you're soon sorted)

Thanks for all the good wishes folks,

Dusty, unlike my daughter son never really took to the caravaning lark, which is a good thing really as I would never see it otherwise
Whilst we are baby sitting they are off to Barcelona.

We should be together, as a chap from the site rang me a couple of days after I booked and we spent 10 to 15 minutes matching names and nicknames of the Woosies. We arrive Friday lunchtime. See you then.

Just put the van on the drive in a shower of hail stones, all gone after 15 minutes, took the van to a weigh bridge on the way home, only to to find we are near to max weight, so have moved hook up cables and other items to the car, removed spare Blues and pink bottles, ironing board and iron, only used them in France, basically removed about 40 kg of equipment, so a quick weigh in at Slimming World Friday morning and maybe get to Wallingford by lunch. Sat nav says about a 2 hour tow. :p
