Well, here we go...bought our dealer special Lunar Quasar in May 2015, brand spanking new. Minor problems to start, faulty microwave, quickly replaced, Omnivent packed in, again, quickly replaced. First service came and went with no faults found.
Spent New Year over at Keswick, nothing out of the ordinary noted. And then...stayed in York at the end of January. As I was busy with the outside jobs, my wife was just as busy unpacking and setting up inside. She called me in to look at the toilet wall. . There was obvious damp running along the offside wall, spreading behind the toilet and running along the back wall. Oh well, these things happen. Later, just as beer o' clock came around, she pointed to the wall behind my head. Yup, more damp coming through the wall board. A further look inside the overheard locke reveale damp and water which appeared to be coming in around the joining strip and the front panel. So, on getting home, reported this to the dealer, where we also store the caravan. A couple of days later, they called and confirmed damp in the ceiling, offside and rear walls ranging from 40% to 45%. Warranty claim to be put in.
Had booked to go to Thirsk last weekend to meet up with Friends. weather was not the best. Had a close look at the nearside and found damp in the lockers, with the wall boards visibly stained. Back to the dealer today who has checked these new areas and reported damp up to 60%. Not good, and another warranty claim submitted. Whatever the outcome, and I know it's going to be a long process, but I'll keep you updated. Has anyone else had this much water ingress repaired under warranty and what can expect? Should I be checking anywhere else eg the floor? Oh well, these things are sent to try us. Rick.
