If and when you all decide to go to Riverside ask if you can go on the pitches to the left of the road when you drive on site and not on the main tourer park,

Because I like that side of the park which is away from the main touring park,
Do you mean the ones behind the reception by the river with the chalets to the other side?
Do you know how many pitches are in that location and what the satellite signal is like.
Thanks

Dusty,
The pitches what I'm on about are the pitches on the left hand side of the park, if you actually take the first left after going through the gate which is after about seventy-five metres , the pitches then run along the hedge side, don't know about signal but never had a problem with my phone, :) look on google earth for a better view of the site,

Just looked on Google earth and there are about twenty pitches or so but with a row of caravans down the hedge side and another row in front facing the road you could have a forty van rally,

Bit costly but with your negotiating skills. ???

Just looked at next year's details:

Open 1st Apr - 31 Oct 2017
Accept group bookings, but need ALL details at time of booking
Low season: 1 - 13 Apr, 21 Apr - 25 May, 2 Jun - 30 Jun

Low season prices:
Sun - Thurs £22 pn
Fri - Sat £26 pn
Awning £2.50 pn
Dogs £2 each pn, max 2 dogs

Yes Hutch, 'tis bit costly.

That's an average of £25.50 per night for a 4 night stay Thur - Sun, without dogs or awnings. Add another £4 per night for those with 2 dogs plus another £2.50 pn for awnings.

Edit - Arrival/Departure:
Arrive - after noon (except Fri - after 10am, Sun & BH - after 2pm)
Depart - by noon (except Sun & BH 3pm)

Are September and October low season?
I'm sure if 10 or more are going we can get a better rate and zero for dogs and awnings.
Pit pony is spot on . The pitches to the left of the reception look ideal.

Low season: 1st September - 31st October

I only quoted the spring dates before as it was those in the original discussion.

I thought King Gafferbill suggested Riverside for the autumn Woosiefest and Wallingford for the spring :)

...............that is what I suggested but I was allowing time for other suggestions over where and when :)

I have stayed at both sites recently...................when I stayed at Riverside we did 4 nights for the price of 3.
I am also 100% sure Alan would be able to get a worthwhile discount if we decide to go there.

BTW the Google Earth views of the site are 3 to 4 years out of date.
The reception is the first building you come to on the right of the entrance drive.
The pitches further on down the drive on the left are OK but some have tall trees in line of sight of a satellite signal.

Not too far for us and we've stayed at Riverside before. If the dates don't clash with other arrangements we'll be there if only for an extended Fri-Mon weekend.
