Thank you all for the open invite. We would love to join the Fest but getting away in the van along with fortnightly commutes to Leicester to visit my frail pops plus childcare is stretching the sytstem to its limit. Not to mention the jobs lined up in settling into this new abode. Basically as per last year planned holidays are off. So if the window of opportunity opens up it may be a late call.
Clive,
Understand the pops aspect.
However you know you are welcome even if it is just for the weekend. Mum forced us to cancel a holiday in Shropshire four weeks ago. Not her fault but she’s still my mum at 93.
Just remember the door is always open. Take care,.

A question for the Ex Kingy's and Queenie.

Any forumites North of the Border fancy a jaunt to the September Fest?

You are all most welcome. (BYOIB) iron brew

I could do with a few 'handers' to fend off the Engs (they force me to drink Babycham and 'other things'); an unruly lot at times they are

OC, thanks for the thoughts, not everyone can get to a meeting, it's just a good chance , to put faces to names. Take care to all while towing.

Hi All,
Does or has in the past the Woosie Club ever ventured unto the S/West? Looks really great & we would love to join you but living in Liskeard (SE Cornwall) and lacking experience the higher North is beyond our confidence./ /capability.
Glad you clearly had a really fab spring trip! Maybe for the future.

Hi Wayne,
Yes ! In fact a number of us live in the SW SE and Midlands. One lives in South Devon pretty close to you. We have met in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Oxfordshire plus Derbyshire and so on.
How far could you travel?
Discussions for next year’s meets will take place in September onwards. If you have any ideas please tell us.
Best wishes

Good grief, what do you imagine its like up here ;)

They stopped marking the maps with "Here be dragons" some years ago. TBH, Cornwall is a much worse place to tow once you are off the main trunk roads. We even have motorways you know.

Since we could have members coming from far away places like Cornwall and Kilmarnock in Scotland, to be fair most meets should be somewhere in the middle. If Anseo had to drive to Cornwall that is at least a 9 or 10 hour drive without stops. North Wales is VERY beautiful and full of fantastic parks. Just saying. If the furthest journey was roughly equal distances from all sides it would make it fair.

Have home from home on wheels, will travel.

Anyone know just where Kilmarnock is ????

It's one of the great things about my homeland... Sorts the grockles out from the locals... A Cornish hedge will bite!

........the choosing of the new monarch for 2020 is well in hand with the coronation taking place at the September fest.

The current tradition is that the reigning monarch chooses and organises the venues of any fests.
The 2019 coronation didn't take place for unforeseen reasons so the recent successful Spring fest was organised by 2 Knights of the Woosie Round Table.

The September fest is being organised by Ex King Dusty Dog and Grey13 who is overdue a knighthood.

Looking back a few months ago we had three suggestions. They got missed so now is the time to decide Grey’s Woosie title.
Sir Supershower
Sir Grey Water
Sir Showerhead

All Forumites can vote.
I fancy Sir Showerhead

Sir GreyWater is appealing but doesn’t reflect his above and beyond exertions to bring hot showers to the caravanning masses in general and to him in particular. I endorse Sir Showerhead.

If you remember dusty we started in Devon @ https://stowford.co.uk/

Went back there and spent 4 nights there over Easter, still a nice site.
The road that passes the bar has been diverted around the play park and tables and chairs taking up the old road space out side the bar, much safer for the kiddy's (and us drunks after a few Doom Bars) :)

Wayne, I am about 30 miles up the road from you, two years ago when the fest was held at Pickering,Yorkshire we arranged our main holiday around it, yes i still work unlike most Woosie's who have all the time in the world   we broke the journey up, stayed one night near Brum (Somewhere) Oh Kingsbury Water Park then up to Pickering and on the way back we stayed 3 nights at Lickhiill Manor.
Take a few rest stops on your travels, there's no hurry to get there, your on holiday.
I say go for it, try it out.
