There may still be time to change your mind!
Ale, wine, a woosie feast, ballet, and a royal coronation.
Sadly Surfer isn't coming so there could be a spare pitch?

I've just been reading the Conditions for Poston Mill and see that satellite dishes are not permitted. However, there is TV hookup on each pitch, free if you use your own aerial cable, or £1 per night if you need to hire a cable.

Hi Sir WC
My aunts motorhome has a roof mounted dish. I wonder if that excludes her??
Ah well , one less thing to carry!
The BBQ's all cleaned up ready for action

It wouldn't exclude your aunty (only her van), unless the dish was also attached to her head

But is this for the statics ????
The link you quote contains the words "TouringParkRules" so I guess it covers more than statics
smiley-wink.gif

I also note that "pup tents" are not permitted, does this mean you can't take a kennel and have to keep dogs inside the caravan??

This is taken from the same page

Park Improvements:
We continually strive to improve the park and to comply with new health and safety laws

Pitch Tidiness:
The caravan/ Holiday Home owner is responsible for the tidiness around the unit. No storage items are to
be kept under the unit. All electric, TV cables and water containers to be put away after each visit.
Please obtain prior approval before doing any work around your pitch, i.e. shrubs, tree planting, trellis, fencing, statues, flags and borders.
Satellite dishes, gazebos, patio heaters are not permitted.

As i read it these rules are for the statics.

I'm easy either way re satellite dishes. I've tried mine once, but have always been able to get a good picture with a normal TV aerial, or plug into a bollard (as at CC Troutbeck Head).
Being a Woosie I have trouble setting up a dish (cue - open floodgate for everybody who finds it easy!!).

We had ours up when we visited but we really battled to get a signal due to the trees being across line of sight! If you look at the Google view Sprocket supplied on post #10, the only pitch that may get satellite is the pitch right at the end of the site at the bottom right hand side. We were stuck on the pitch which hss no waste water facility.

Never mind the telly, what about the grub? Are we still on for the Jacob's table? I am still planning on making, freezing and bringing a cauldron of chilli. (When I say "I" , what I mean is OH); unless instructed to the contrary. I'll bring some garlic bread (normal and gluten free) as well.
