Parky's right, but why get heated up over what is a situation that never was.

"Everyone speeds NO they dont i lost my best man to a speeder and have never sped again."

Sad story, you are not alone on that score,Although your response seems to indicate prior to that sad incident you actually did speed, which contradicts your first line of response....LOL...
Yep you are correct i did speed before, only after what happened did i change my ways and views,by the way the speeder walked away from the accident.

All this argument "there is no such thing as a towbar for a Bentley Flying Spur", "yes, there is", "no, there isn't", would be put to an end once and for all if someone would quote the part number.

Lutz. I thing most people on here by now, know its a wind up/little bit of mischief, which maybe doesn't deserve to be in the towcars section, more like the chit chat section.

But its gone on,and kept people reading it, without actually getting heated[is that a first?]and sooner or later the post will dry up[i hope]rather than get heated..

Caravanner

True enough, everyone could have ignored this post but they didn't.

I was happy to ignore it because it fell into the category of 'harmless wind up's' as far as I was concerned.

I can't however ignore a post which appears to me to be being used as some sort of tool to get forum members suspended.

As far as the 'swearing' that you have complained about is concerned the way that it was written is not in the strictest sense swearing unless I've missed something and 'not being constructive' is hardly grounds for censure in a debate of this nature.

With all due respect it might be better to not descend into petty childish squabbling if you submit posts which stretch credibility or appear to condone speeding whilst towing a caravan.

I read the whole sorry saga earlier, it's obvious to anybody that Caravanner has lied about the tow bar and I would guess the car.

He obviously doesn't even read what he posted earlier in the thread having gone from a Witter special order that doesn't exist to a Bentley supplied part.

Do a check with Bentley or their dealer network and ask about towing specification.

The answer is "N/A" or Non Applicable as they don't have any ratings for towing and no tow bars.

Keeping up with the 90mph car in front with a caravan in tow! Speeding comments from clownavanner just have no link to reality.

Was that a "well done" for being a completely stupid W 1 nker? Encouraging a wally to lie and post drivel is not a lot of help to serious caravanners or those new to caravanning on this forum.

The only fish was caravanner on the end of the silly liar hook

Calm down - it's only a caravan forum!

Seriously posting insults to each other is not doing anyone any good.

If you strongly disagree with points being made either explain in a rational manner or don't submit posts.

Banter is ok until it degenerates into insult, I don't want to start deleting posts.

Sorry Parksy my posting was just intended as being factual after reaching a logical conclusion after collating all the evidence ;)

On the other hand, may be 'caravanner' got mixed up and he meant Rolls Royce rather than Bentley.

No doubt 'Phantom' tow bars and 'Phantom' caravans would be available for a Phantom ;@}

I do not understand why some are getting so heated up.

Calm down "lied" interesting that, was there not another topic not too far in the past concerning an imaginary "best caravan pk in the world"That only some in the click could use?

Was that not a wind up too?nay a big whopping lie ?

It seems so was this thread, that's all no different, lets not start playing at double standards here.

Both threads were entertaining.

Time was when we used to make and fit our own tow bars at work, usually massively over engineered.

Now red tape, rules and regulations, its all got bit bit silly.

But that's all the the entertainment, i've not had such a good laugh since we partied into the small hours at our favourite CL!

Oh my,did i actually read that "W 1nker" is that really allowed these days? or could it mean something other than what i take it to mean?

Very interested in a response you understand,as i like many others do try to follow forum protocol,so maybe clarification would be of enormous help to myself and maybe others.. thanks..

me. You should be able to answer your question yourself, answer really depends on whether you (everyone) have a sense of humour or if you've had some level of humour bypass!

If the original post was a joke then no doubt all further comments should be accepted as humourous banter :-I

The Best Site thread was hijacked me. Rather than understand that one private site aimed at specific interests can provide a fantastic holiday and an income for the site owners was beyond the usual knockers here.

Themed hotels and B&B hotels work. But providing a surf, sailing and diving site for like minded people with shared interests drew stupid comments as the owners only operate the site on a word of mouth basis.

We had a great time in a great setting and got great service and as everyone on site shared similar interests it was just the greatest of sites.

No moans about noise or car movements and so on, the owners have picked who they want and the way they want the site run so there are no conflicting ideas of what is acceptable behaviour.

Really? so when you said "complete stupid W1 nker" to describe another forum member, these was indeed only words of a humorous style banter?

Well that's good to hear, although I will be far happier if a moderator would confirm this, as I would not what to say something like "as W1 nkers go Euro you are top draw LOL" even though I would make it clear that my intentions were only banter, by at least adding "LOL" at the end, to hopefully show my intentions were not offensive but merely banter......and as you can see, I clearly do have that sense of humour you thought I had missing! ......LOL

Sorry for the delay in replying 'me', I was pleasing myself! After all if you can't please yourself no one else probably can ;)

Take in the finer points of others post, the way wording and letters are spaced just makes all the difference. W 1 is so much nicer and inoffensive than your W1 or W 1n_ _ _.

ps

Also if I was bothered I would rather be "top drawer" in your book than "top draw", I've never been artistic :0}

+ Sadie passed me this on by the way.
