Well after a relaxed breakfast of boiled eggs, the last Woosie left Pickalot at 10:30, a lesuirley run down to Milton Keynes arriving at 14 15. The jockey wheel stayed up this time.
I would like to thank all the Woosies at Pickalot for a great week, We really enjoyed the Woosiefest.

Well folks after our epic 11 nights (well epic for us!!) 3 different sites,1036 miles on the clock, 46 gallons of fuel,and a squeaky tow bar, it has all come to an end 🙁
Arrived at pickalot with the squeak and by the time we arrived at Lickhill Manor in Worcester it was like thunder!! Spent an hour cleaning it yesterday and all fine again on way home today.
fully serviced pitch at Lickhill BUT had two brand new Torbeck valves for the aquaroll (one should have been a spare!!!) and both didnt work Grrr
But still filled with hose pipe so no great problems.
The bank manager says I have got to give up my semi-retirement and get back to WORK on Monday and start saving for next years 🙁
Note to Dusty....on way home today i tooted my horn at junction 11, did you realise it was me :lol:

It looks like you all had an amazing time. We had to slum it in Mats boss's holiday bungalow in scorching heat down at Dartmouth. It was terrible (not!). Mats boss borrowed our van to see if they wanted to buy their own. We loaded it with lots of PC back copies. A fair swap methinks.

As Mel has said, when travelling at weekends, we are constrained by a max of 2 hours 30mins driving time, unless it's in school holidays, which is not feasible or fair on everyone. I actually quite enjoy going to sites when they are quiet, and the children thoroughly enjoyed last years get together.

It looks delightful, and I see by the pictures that someone is already camping there. A nice bit of greenery and facilities and food on tap. Such a shame it only gets a 2* rating... :lol:
on looking at UKCampsites, I've come across a lovely looking c+cc cs site with showers, hookups etc, called New House Farm. Looks very nice... shame it only takes 5 units. 🙁

Atherstone caravan park looks nice. Near tamworth.
Currently sat in OHs Freelander in the car park of a fast food outlet called Cluck cos the car has broken down! Awaiting the tow truck. Not sure the owners of Cluck have thought the name through. "Good evening, would you like a Cluck" Hmmm?

Early days yet folks..........but if we are going to run with the 2.5 to 3 hours journey time for the next Autumn Woosiefest then I am thinking Stratford on Avon and this very good site on the banks of the river Avon about one mile from the town centre.
There is an all singing clubhouse with bar and restaurant with various sized rooms that could be hired if required.
They have their own passenger river taxi from the campsite to the heart of Stratford which runs everyday by demand.
The tariff is a bit pricey but they offer various discounts.....7days for the price of 6 for example.
May get other discounts for a group booking :huh:
