Caravan service costs

Depends on Dealer or Mobile service engineer. If it is a brand new caravan I would advise to use the supplying dealer whilst it is still under warranty. Probably Dealer about £75 dearer than a Mobile engineer. but worth it if there is any warranty claim needed

Thanks I’ll have to get a price from the dealer unfortunately they’re quite far away typical
I used a different Swift dealership for servicing compared to purchase, and they looked after my warranty for a new rear panel. I guess it all depends on the deanship as they dont get paid lots of dosh for warranty work. But there is nothing to stop you having it serviced by a local dealership for your make, and if warranty issues arise then you could then take it back to the supplying dealer.

My situation is not typical although I bought the caravan from a private individual it was actually brand new as a competition prize and supplied by Marquis last November so still within the 2 year warranty. I’ve contacted Marquis to get them to change the ownership details with Adria but tbh Marquis have been pretty useless

I looks as though you will have to test the waters with different dealers or independent workshops as who would be willing to carry out any warranty work if needed, if you give them the servicing work. As Marquis as the original supplier there contract is with the first owner. And as they are not transferring the ownership to you looks as though they are not prepared to take on any work as they are not obliged to do. I think you will probably have fingers crossed and hope there is nothing requiring attention evolves. My friend was in a similar position when he privately bought a 4 month old caravan from a seller who after one weeks use, decided it was not for them. Fortunately the problem he had was not major and only cost him under £1000.

Marquis have said the warranty is valid irrespective of who the owner is as it’s currently under warranty with Adria. Reading the information on the Adria site the warranty is activated when it gets registered that it’s been sold by the dealership.
The only caviate is that it’s serviced annually by an appropriate person and technically the first service is due in the next few months.

Last time I I had my caravan serviced it cost me £225 including the one shot wheel nut (2 off ), that was with a mobile AWS tech. North Bucks / South Northamptonshire.

So was the competition run by Adria and Marquis only done the supplying on behalf of Adria. If this is the case you need confirmation from Adria that the warranty start date has been triggered and have a copy from them that you can produce to a UK service/ repair workshop.
